If you’re a regular follower of our sign maker blog or one of our customers you’ll probably already realise that our sign making products and services include the production of high quality illuminated signs for shops. Typically this product is provided as a single sign unit for the one entrance, but what about if multiple signs are required, and in double quick time? Our signage solutions for retailer Officers Club is just such an example, and demonstrates our ability to meet our customers most exacting needs.
Our brief was simple: manufacture multiple illuminated signage units and install them at various points throughout the retail premises, including by the main entrance and in the front window display units. Typically we require around ten days from site survey through to design, manufacture and installation for this kind of job.
Starting with a site survey to ensure we understood the exact usage and positioning of the proposed signage, we did a full site inspection, ascertaining the type of materials and surfaces we would have to apply our illuminated signs to, along with ensuring that the necessary power provisions were in place to feed the signs. After detailed discussions with the customer a design, build and install plan was agreed upon.
Back in our design studio we took the customers existing brand identity and adapted it for signage and lighting purposes, matching their colours accurately to our powder coat range in readiness for its application to the metal trays and carcasses required at the sign build stage. Fret cut face trays house the white acrylic lettering, while the sign back trays house the interior fluorescent tubes and wiring. When attached to the sign carcass the interior light can only escape via the acrylic lettering, creating the illuminated sign effect.
Once the customer had signed off on the quality and consistency of the now completed signs it was a matter of returning to the premises site for a night time installation. We appreciate that we cannot disturb your business during standard opening hours so make ourselves available at a time – typically at night – that suits your business needs. We provide this service throughout the UK and Irish Republic.
